Why free
A good tool beats a sales pitch.
We’d rather you decide with the right numbers, even if the answer is “stay a sole proprietor.” People who incorporate at the right time stay with us; those pushed too early leave disappointed.
Decide at the right timeToo early costs compliance fees for nothing; too late costs tax. The tools find the point.
Sourced numbersRegistry fees ($200 federal, $397 Quebec…) are checked monthly and dated; simplified rules are flagged.
No trapsNo email needed to see a result. An account only saves or exports.
Reviewed by professionalsTax logic reviewed by Sophie Lemieux, CPA; corporate rules by David Roy, lawyer.
Indicative result, not binding. Each tool uses simplified rules, labelled as such. Government fees are checked monthly; tax figures are estimates to confirm with your CPA. Incorpo.ca is not a law or accounting firm.
One path, in the order of your questions
The tools share your answers: the province in the simulator pre-fills the comparison, then the calendar.
- Step 1Should I incorporate?The simulator compares both regimes from your income.Should I incorporate? →
- Step 2Where, and under what name? The quiz and comparison set the jurisdiction; the checker secures the name.Name checker →
- Step 3How do I pay myself?Salary, dividend or a mix, based on your goals.Salary or dividend →
- Step 4What not to forget? The calendar lists your first twelve months of deadlines.Compliance calendar →
« The simulator told me to wait six months. I waited, then came back to incorporate with them. That’s the kind of honesty you want. »
About the tools
Data verified on [date]. Sources: REQ, Corporations Canada, Ontario Business Registry, BC Registries.
Are the results reliable?
Government fees are accurate as of the date shown. Tax figures use simplified rates and don’t replace a CPA: they give an order of magnitude.
Do I need an account?
No. An account is optional, for saving simulations, exporting a PDF or sending results to your accountant.
Is my data kept?
Without an account, nothing is stored beyond the session. With one, simulations are encrypted and deletable in one click (Law 25).
Can I embed a tool on my site?
Yes, Pro partner accountants can embed the comparison and calendar with their branding.
